Meet the Innkeepers

Matt and Leanne Martinson purchased the Iron Horse in August 2017. After working out the bugs over the next year, the inn was destroyed by a chimney fire in November 2018.

Matt and Leanne decided to rebuild.

Matt Martinson is a Seattle native who has loved the Seahawks since Steve Largent was a wide receiver. Growing up, his work ethic was forged through summers spent commercial fishing and serving as a sous chef in a seafood restaurant between college classes. Advanced academic degrees provided critical tools to research and undertake large research projects abroad, often living and staying with local families throughout Europe. Matt prides himself in his farm-to-table gardening practices and is a creator of hearty meals that make you ask for seconds and even consider thirds.

Leanne Martinson has traveled widely throughout her 20 years as a travel counselor, working in several states across the United States as well as the UK. She still works full-time as a travel agent and helps to run the B&B with Matt on the weekends.

The Iron Horse gives us the opportunity to share our passion for good food and seed-to-table practices. Thank you for staying with us!

ANY guest at the Iron Horse is reason enough to honor the occasion with generous hospitality!

WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING

“LOVED IT HERE! We stayed over the weekend to celebrate the wedding of close friends. Breakfast was fantastic thanks to the chef! Always serving an egg and sweet dish. The rooms were so fun, rustic and very themed. Mary and her husband were great at making everyone feel welcome. We had a blast. The Caboose rooms are a riot.
